BASIC LIFE SUPPORT AND FIRST AID TRAINING
SY 2019-2020

I. RATIONALE

First aid is the first assistance and support given when a person complains about injury
or sudden health status change. All of us can give immediate care and assistance to any person
suffering from a minor or serious illness and injury if we just have the right knowledge and skills
in saving lives.

As part of students’ training in delivering effective and quality health care services, the
CNHS Red Cross Youth Club will conduct a BASIC LIFE SUPPORT AND FIRST AID TRAINING which
will serve as a great opportunity for students to learn and gain the necessary skills in helping
people during times of crisis and survival. With this training, the students will become
knowledgeable, prepared, and equipped to respond to the immediate emergencies.
Moreover, this two-day training will be able to assist the students to develop the spirit
of volunteerism and deliver services to people in the community effectively.

II. OBJECTIVE

At the end of the training, the participants are expected to:

1. Impart the importance of learning and giving first aid.

2. Apply knowledge and skills on basic life support and first aid procedures through a
return demonstration and during emergency situations.
3. Value the spirit of volunteerism in delivering health care services to the people

III. NATURE OF THE ACTIVITY

The training will be participated by the RCY Club Officers of Clarin National High School, RCY
Officers of CNHS Pan-ay Ext. Class, CHIRAJ RCY Club Officers and SSG Officers of CNHS with the
cooperation of the health personnel in Mhars Medical Center being the speaker and trainer during
