Artifact #1: Governance

There are thirteen circuits courts of appeals in the federal courts system, and Nevada is

part of the 9th circuit court of appeals. The 9th circuit court of appeals also include the states like

Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Montana, Oregon, Idaho, California and Arizona. In the Nevada

State Constitution, Article 11 covers the Education system. There are 10 sections in Article 11.

The Brown v. Board of Education is one of the U.S. Supreme Court Cases that caught my

attention when I first heard about it. It talked about how it’s unconstitutional to separate the

black and white students in public schools.
