INTRODUCTION

ü Business Performance Management(BPM) or


Corporate Performance Management.
ü It includes reporting, predictive analytics.
ü Also includes other BI practices along with
planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
ü It provides a framework which helps in
organising information, delivering new insights
and taking actions.
TOOLS OF BPM
PROCESS OF BPM

Ø Designing of a BPM program and clearly defining what is to be


measured, when and how.
Ø Establishment of standards/metrics against which performance
comparison can be done like a balanced scoreboard.
Ø Preparation of a system for performance monitoring and identify
performance goals.
Ø Preparation of a system for analysis like finding out about trends,
fluctuations and reasons.
Ø It also includes results of actual performance against set standards.
Ø Action should be taken when needed.
SCORECARDS

Ø A business performance management tool which is usd by senior


management to review performance indicators is called as a
scorecard.
Ø Assists in monitoring the performance of business against the
strategic goals .
Ø It acts as a tool for executives and managers to report and analyze
performance indicators .
Ø It reflects whether the business activities are in line with the overall
strategy of the company.
Ø Scorecard supports business users in tracking and improving
corporate performance by key performance indicators.

Ø Business intelligence dashboard reflects the present status of
metrics and key performance indicators of an organization.
Ø Business intelligence dashboards makes the data analysis a
simple process.
Ø Dashboards combine and arrange numbers, metrics and scorecard
in a single visual medium.
Ø Main features of a BI dashboard are a customizable interface and
the capability of pulling data from multiple sources.
