FIRST CONDITIONAL – This conditional is used in real and possible situations which will probably
occur in the future. In this structure, one thing must happen in order for the other thing to also happen.
IF + PRESENT + WILL/WON’T + VERB
1. If it rains and I don’t have an umbrella, I will get wet.
2. If you don’t come to class, you won’t learn the new material. 3. If MY outline is terrible, I will get a bad grade. 4. I will go out with my friends if I finish my homework early. 5. Mary will get good grades if she pays attention in class.
