The study was both exploratory and descriptive in nature. A self-administered

of collecting initial information during the research process

Using a retrospective analysis of accidents that occurred from 2006–2016 taking
-WHO Report into consideration the following parameters: the cause of the accident, the genders
of the victims, the number and type of vehicles involved in the accident, the time
of the accident, the severity of the accident, the type of accident and the age
group of the driver

 HASIL

The loss of more than lakhs of people and hospitalizations of millions across the state may make all
concerned to develop and implement road safety on scientific and programmatic approaches. This requires
political commitment, professionals’ involvement, or protective media and people’s participation.

These results provide scientific evidence to mobilize road authorities to effectively and urgently develop
adequate traffic strategies and policies to reduce the epidemic of RTAs in Baghdad as well as other Iraqi
governorates

Transportation is not only playing a pivotal role in modern life but also become critical and resourceful.
Increase of traffic inflow is unavoidable but the out come has to be seriously viewed in the context of causing
accidents
