BULLYING: THE BULLY AND THE BULLIED

According to Sonnie, bullying is an act committed by an individual or group

of students, directed to another student. It is also an act that can be committed in
written, verbal, or electronic expression, physical gestures or combination. An act
whether severe or repeated, that will produce any of these effects to its victims: fear
of physical or emotional harm, damage to his or her property, a hostile environment
at school, infringement of his or her rights and disruption of orderly operation of the
school. It is also an act that can be in the form of:

SECTION 2A: PYSICAL

SECTION 2B: SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL
SECTION 3C: VERBAL
SECTION 4D: CYBER

Bullying happens everywhere. It could be in school, parks or even at home:

People who are weak, physically, mentally and emotionally are the usual victims of
bullying. Bullying has two types of involvement. The bully and the bullied.
The bully is the one who initiates the action. The one who do bad and harmful
acts to other people. These people are often described as those who terrorize. While
the bullied are those who were being played and afraid to tell about their situations.
According to Pia- Lee- Brago of the Philippine star, almost 130 million kids
worldwide experience bullying. Due to too much bullying, bullied people end up to
depression that usually led to suicide because for them, it is their only way to free
their selves form such painful situations.
Because of this unending problem of the country, the government implemented an
act that well serve as the doorway in minimizing and preventing the country from
this problem in getting worse. The anti- bullying act of 2013, or the republic act
10627, signed by the then- President Benigno Aquino III, mandated all elementary
and secondary schools to adopt policies to prevent and address the acts of bullying
in their institutions.
We are lucky that this anti- bullying act was implemented. As a student, and
a fellow countryman, I highly suggest that we should respect and love each other.
Together let us defend who were oppressed, and fight the oppressor.
