“Stewardship is the grateful response to
God’s grace and goodness. It requires a
consideration of how our choices affect us
and others, of how we can be good care-
takers of the created world, and of how we
can best serve God as disciples of Christ.”

PHOTO STORIES
THE WEDNESDAY FORUM, October 16.
This month’s The Wednesday Forum (TWF) carried the theme
“The Heavy Cost of our Prophetic Ministry” and featured Ms.
Rachel Mariano (2nd from right), Health Program Coordinator of
Community Health, Education, Services and Training in the Cordil-
lera Region (CHESTCORE) in Baguio City, and Rev. Leonardo
Morada, the General Secretary of the Iglesya Unida Ekyumenical
(4th from right). Ms. Mariano, wife of UCCP Pastor Bill Mari-
ano, was recently acquitted after being imprisoned for a year on
trumped up charges of being an NPA while discharging her duties
to the people in the Cordillera. Rev. Morada’s brother Neph, on
the other hand, was a recent victim of Extra-Judicial Killing in
Bicol. Rounding up the forum was a Biblico-Theological Reflection
delivered by former UCCP General Secretary, Bishop Reuel Nor-
man Marigza, now Administrative Pastor of UCCP Baguio City.

24 YEARS OF VISAYAN SERVICE,

October 13.
Celebrating 24 years of Visayan Service,
UCCP Cosmopolitan Church gives thanks
to the Lord through a Worship Through
Music last Sunday during the 3:00PM
Visayan Worship Service with the Pilgrims
Choir rendering “The Anchor Holds” musi-
cal repertoire. With the theme “#ikinabuhi-
siCristo” (“Living Out Christ in our Lives”)
the celebration was complemented by
a set of musicians who played the flute,
violin, trumpet, bass guitar, drums and the
keyboard (piano). Our very own Church
Council Vice Chairman and UCCP General
Assembly Chairman Keith Arleigh D. Que-
bral gave the Thanksgiving Message while
the CYAF provided the liturgical-tambou-
rine dance offering. We would like to thank
all those who have made the celebration a
huge success. To God indeed be the glory!

VISAYAN SERVICE FELLOWSHIP, October 13.

Before the Thanksgiving Worship service through music of the
Visayan Service last Sunday, a Worship thru Fellowship engaged
the different organizations within the Visayan Service in a fun-filled
presentation of sorts that saw men, women, youth and children
alike participating in the festivities. Picture below shows the United
Church Men (UCM) dancing to a happy tune while dressed in a
“Puruntong and Tie” combination.

CHRISTIAN WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION, October 19.

Our church women through the Christian Women’s Association
(CWA) continues to expand their horizons as they are represented
during the LCSMC CWA regular monthly fellowship. Yesterday’s
fellowship was held at UCCP Caridad in Cavite City. We continue
to encourage our church women to take part and be active mem-
bers of our different church organizations like the CWA.
