The purpose of this rubric is to guide students and the research committees as they develop research papers. Quality indicators are indicated in the
Schools Division of Tarlac Province rubric for each chapter. The rubric also includes a rating category for the overall style and format presentation of the thesis/project. A numerical
TARLAC NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL – ANNEX rating scale is associated with each category of the rubric. Please mark your rating by putting a check  within each box. Space has been provided

Chapter 1: The Problem and Its Background
 The introduction is engaging, supported the main topic with literature, and
justified the rationale and worthiness of the study
 The research main problem and sub-problems are stated clearly and are
consistent with the conceptual or theoretical framework of the study
 The significance of the study is described in a logical, explicit manner
 The scope and delimitation of the study precisely stated the focus and bounds
of the study
 Key terms are adequate and operationally defined
Chapter 2: Review of Related Literature and Studies
 Coverage of the literature is adequate, organized around major ideas or
themes, and within the scope of problem
 Related studies are clearly presented with important elements
 Proper citations are made in the review of literature and study
 The conceptual framework is appropriate for the study
 The paradigm is parallel to the statement of the problem
Chapter 3: Methods of the Study and Sources of Data
 The chosen research design is appropriate to the research problem
 The procedures in conducting the research are precisely stated
 The population and locale of the study is clearly described
 The sampling method to be used is stated and justified
 Data gathering methods and procedures are appropriate and clearly described
 Description of instrumentation or data collection tools is present.
 Measures for ethical protections and rights of participants are adequate
 Data analysis methods and procedures are clearly described
