CBL monthly report

As we completed 2 months of classes U&I decided to organise a potluck party on Oct 2nd.
All volunteers from all parts Bangalore are gathered at one place to think together on the
organisation’s vision - Empowering the underprivileged children by providing education.
This helped us to bring different ideas and various ways of solving the issues on one page and
make a better plan for the coming months. Also helped to understand the various Nitty-gritty
challenges faced by volunteers in their practical environment. This gives advanced
preparation for others to face more or less similar situations. Games and Karaoke sessions
helped to break the ice and also develop team dynamics in a short time.

Dream cloud – to provoke thought about their future and help them in preparing the way.
We organised Dream cloud in one of our classes to make children have a bigger
understanding of their education. This gave a bigger picture of why they are asked to put a lot
of effort into studies. We also cleared their doubts regarding their future plans and gave them
a few advice.

Art gallery – to encourage children’s creativity and train them in areas where they are
interested.
In this session we shared great artists in different fields like music, dance, painting, singing,
etc. and helped them to understand the importance of art and creativity. Every child is given a
task to show their creativity with paints, thermocol, and paper. This helped us to find out the
hidden creative talents in a few of them.

Moral education classes – classes on corruption and immoral activities that take place in
society.
We said about the importance of following the traffic rules as they are for our safety and
goodness. We also thought them about our responsibility in keeping the earth clean and
green. We asked them to reduce the wastage of water and stop using plastic.

Children Enrichment Program (CEP) – Positive Mental Health: Cool Down.

We all know that in today's fast-moving world, we are busy and we tend to avoid our
emotions which may seem small at the time but may lead to big problems later.

Therefore, we need to inculcate in the children the habit of addressing these feelings at times
and ways to cope up with it. We need to teach them the art of keeping calm even at tough
times.
