CAREER EXPERIENCE

Anglophone East School District

HIGH SCHOOL INTERN GRADES 9-12 AUGUST 2019 – DECEMBER 2019


Interned alongside Wanda Jones at Petitcodiac Regional School. My teaching schedule included
Theatre Arts 120 where I put on a production with students, English Language Arts 9, English
Language Arts 10, Social Studies 10, Social Studies 9, and Personal Development and Career
Planning. While interning at PRS, I was able to join their launch of Project Based Learning with a
focus on the six global competencies.

DAY-TO-DAY SUPPLY TEACHER FEBRUARY 2019 – JUNE 2019


While finishing my studies at Crandall University, I decided to supply teach with a Local Permit
on the days I did not have class. This experience provided me with practice in classroom
management and building rapport. During this time, I completed a ten-day supply job at Claude
D. Taylor during the last two weeks of school in a grade one French Immersion classroom.

CAMP DIRECTOR June 2018 – August 2018

Responsible for facilitating, planning, and implementing a seven-week summer camp session for
children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Provided assistance and training to
employees. Communicated with parents regarding their children and camp activities. Created
weekly plans, daily schedules, and organized regular outings.

CAMP COUNSELLOR June 2016 – August 2016

Responsible for the care and well-being of one child per week for seven weeks. Responsibilities
included managing behaviour, using visual schedules (first and then & daily schedules),
administering first-aid and providing any necessary interventions with the child regarding
assistance with communication, toileting, manners, and socializing.

Responsibilities include constructing lesson plans for four classes a week and creating a ballet
syllabus for the studio. Minimum of one choreographed routine per class per year. Assisting

Respite Care for Children with Special Needs
I volunteered for a family in Moncton who have a child on the Autism Spectrum. My
responsibilities included taking the child out for activities such as going to the movie theatre,
out to supper, to the park, etc. I was responsible for administering medications if needed and
enforcing routines and strategies implemented by the parents.

Elementary Literacy Friends


I was a reading buddy for a grade two student in Anglophone East. My responsibilities included
making a weekly lesson plan for reading as well as preparing activities.
