PS 63 Old School South ● Working with a 5th grade ICT class. Helping students with language barriers understand instructions and aid struggling students by working one on one with them on math problems and reading assignments. ● Collaborating with Co-Teachers to write lesson plans, and developing teaching strategies that best cater to the level of the students’ needs. Care.Com August 2015 - Present Tutor ● Working with fifth through ninth-grade learners in ELA, Writing, Science, and Spanish. ● Sessions involve learning the students strengths and weaknesses as well as their most favorable style of learning. Progress is monitored through homework improvement, demonstration of understood material, and test scores. Babysitter August 2015 - August 2021 ● Cared for two children ages four and seven. Had several tasks such as homework help, chaperoned music/sports classes, cooking, household chores, and taking them outdoors. ● Cared for an 8 year old autistic child. Duties included keeping the child in a certain room, feeding her often, managing temper tantrums, and keeping her entertained.
