At the beginning, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to almighty ALLAH for giving
us the strength and the composure to finish the task within scheduled time.
We are deeply indebted to our course instructor Ms. Mumtahina Islam, lecturer, Department of
Business Administration, Dhaka City College for her whole hearted supervision during the
practical orientation period. Her suggestion comments to make the report a good one was really
a great source of spirit for us. A heart full gratitude goes to her for co-supervision and for giving
us impetration and suggestion to complete the whole thing in a right manner. We are also very
much thankful to our other teachers.
We thank all of our members for their contribution and hard work on this project. This report on
the Bamboo Tiles & Furniture showed us a different perception of opportunity in Bangladesh by
enhancing the beauty and heritage while meeting our economic needs. This has been a great
source of knowledge for us to explore a different but native side of the country art and to cope
with the modern fashion that we uphold.

Executive summary
Agriculture and economic development go hand – in – hand. Economy of Bangladesh seeks more
development in bamboo and bamboo products. Alive bamboo tiles and furniture evolves to
contribute in this development. The project vision is to meet the increasing demand of bamboo
products in our country. Alive bamboo tiles and furniture is flourishing in its five aspects.
It is a partnership firm established according to the partnership act 1932 prevailing with a view
to ensure proper utilization of investment. The initiative was taken by eleven promoters.
The board of directors is the owners of Alive Bamboo Tiles and Furniture. Our invested capital
is tk. 13,00,00,000. Net profit distributed according to share capital. In our project we distribute
profit 16% for Managing Director and 14% for each entrepreneur.
The corporation will operate to produce luxurious tiles and furniture in our country by supplying
better products. Traditional technology and production process is applied. In production,
machineries are bought from our country and abroad. We use bamboo as raw materials which
we can easily collect from different parts of our country. Existing and potential market of this
project is identified analyzing internal and external environment. We have segmented our market
based on some features like income, and users behavior. We basically targeted mid level and
high level income range people. We will introduce our products through advertisement and
dealers.
Alive bamboo tiles and furniture will generate as much as possible higher profit to its investors
annually.
Finally, the project is expected to fulfill its responsibility towards the society from different
viewpoints.
