Greetings of Peace and Prosperity!

The Youth of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente – Visayas Region B tri-annually holds a gathering
with all the leaders of the different youth sectoral organizations in the different dioceses in the area. This
is a move set up by the facilitating officers to encourage the strengthening of camaraderie among the
young people despite the distances and also to consolidate certain points and aspects pertaining to the
social issues and awareness that the Church is in full commitment with. The said activity will be held this
coming December 6-8, 2019 at Iglesia Filipina Independiente, Diocese of Negros Oriental and Siquijor.

In line with this, as a unified move of the young people to spread the factual information with
regards to HIV and its related concerns and issues, may we respectfully request your presence and
support in this endeavour by delivering a talk with regards to the topics of Bible in Context (with deeper
emphasis on SOGIE), HIV Situation in the Philippines, and most of all, the Role of the Youth in Leading
the HIV Response. Your support to this endeavour will be of much importance of partaking in the journey
and struggles of the stigmatized, oppressed and marginalized members of our community. Furthermore,
we ask for your support financially in realizing this goal for us to be effective and committed vanguards
of our faith and our advocacies.

The rippling effect of this task in leading is put onto the shoulders of the young ecumenical leaders
of the Church, thus, it is therefore a vital part of our training as members of the inclusive community to
understand and live out the Christ-like Servant Leadership we are appointed by our Faith.
