Abstract
This article presents a linear goal program model for the problem of schedul-
ing tutors in private junior high school whose mission is to provide quali-
fied educational services by paying attention to the potential and individual
needs. In term of scheduling concept that includes about producing individ-
ual schedule arrangement which teaching day pattern is adjusted to tutors
time, in the planning cycle which is provided, it must produce good schedul-
ing in order to make better credibilty of tutors . The useful objective func-
tion minimizes undesirable deviation variables or the number of irregularities
weighted by paying attention to the constraints which is associated with the
regulations of private junior high school (hard constrains) and considering the
needs of each tutor (soft constraints). This model is solved by Linear Goal
Program. The results of scheduling tutors by using the linear goal program
model is better than creating the schedules manually.
