5G NR System Configuration
5G NR SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
1) Create a 5G NR System – Bandwidth Parts
Users can now create a 5G NR Wireless System and define any supported Frequency Band and block
associated with that band (see Figure 1 5G NR Wireless Service Configuration). Additionally, if the
system is TDD, they can also assign the number of Downlink / Uplink slots (which will affect available
resource blocks, and therefore MADR calculations). Additionally, users can also define the Subcarrier
Spacing (SCS) / Numerology value. Finally, users can select from a list of available Bandwidth Part
(BWP) configurations that include power configurations for this 5G network.
At this time, a 5G NR system comprises a single Bandwidth Part, but users can create multiple scenarios
of bandwidth parts. Figure 2 outlines the user interface in creating additional BWP configurations, with
variable power values for each of the Synchronization, Broadcast Channel, Control Channel, Shared
Channel and Reference Signal; or users may opt to leave power configurations as ‘Automatic’.

WHAT’S NEW IN VERSION 12.0?
Finally, users may choose to adjust Network Optimization values under Properties -> Calculations ->
Prediction -> Network Optimization, as well as any other location wherein a per-technology set of
configuration options exist.
The creation and assignment of these newly created Wireless Systems onto parts that support them, or
as signal sources, allows users to create predictions of real-world scenarios of 5G configurations in-
building.

VERSION 12.0.1
The following issues have been resolved in iBwave Design Version 12.0.1.
DSGN-13784 Fiber Cable IDs are not displayed after pushing or pulling a part through a Riser.
DSGN-13853 The ‘View full coverage pattern’ option does not work when a float value is entered in
Antenna properties for antenna beams.
DSGN-13857 Changing a System’s color can cause the application to stop working.
DSGN-13870 Entering an invalid value in the Indoor Prediction Legend can cause the application
to stop working.
DSGN-13879 The Part ID font is initially empty at first attempt but is then populated on subsequent
attempts.
DSGN-13900 Saving a project back to version 11 causes the survey trace data to disappear.
DSGN-13904 Running Capacity map with several technologies causes a critical error.
DSGN-13938 New version number error is not displayed when opening a project in an older
version.
DSGN-13940 Adjusting wall height under inclined surfaces on higher floors causes an error.
DSGN-13946 Unable to use version 11 output map legend templates in version 12.
DSGN-13974 Survey points are not synchronized when resizing the survey on floor plans.
DSGN-13976 The <Shift> key does not work properly when scaling in floor properties.
DSGN-13993 Calculations on Corning projects does not work properly with Light calculation
option.

SERVICE RELEASES
DSGN-14018 Unable to change beam values for multi-beam antenna in Part property.
DSGN-14020 Merging walls with Maximum Optimization causes the application to stop working.
DSGN-14041 Importing an image file into the Layout plan and then attempting to right-click causes
the application to stop working.
