Lesson aims: By the end of the lesson students will have been able to use second and third types
of conditional in appropriate contexts.
Materials notebooks, handouts, whiteboard
Assumptions: Students will be able to understand the difference between the second and third
types of conditional and use them in appropriate contexts.
Students will be able to remember the use of the two types of conditional from the previous year
of study.
Anticipated Problems: The use of mother tongue in workgroup, lack of imagination, some
difficulties in expressing themselves orally.
ACTIVITY 1: Warm up
Aims: -to introduce students into the topic;
-to revise the use of the first type of conditional

Revise the first type of conditional:
tenses used. Ask for examples

ACTIVITY 2: Teaching
Aims: -to understand the difference among conditionals
- To use the second and the third types of conditional in appropriate contexts

Pre-teaching: teacher writes sentences on the Frontal, whole class
board using the second type and the third
type of conditional.

Homework:
Aims: -for further practice on the use of conditionals students must write a short composition
about what they would do if they won the lottery.
