Edge recording for Dahua IP camera

(1) Log on to the particular Dahua IP camera via Web:

Format the SD card:

Click “Setting”  Click “Storage” at left panel  Click “Destination”  Click “Local” tab Select
the SD card  Click “Format”

Time Sync.
Click “General” at left panel  Click “Date & Time” tab  Click “Sync PC” button  Click “Save”

Recording setup
Click Setting  Storage  Record Control  Choose”Manual”  Click “Save”
Please aware that the recommended value for “Pack Duration” field would be 1 or 2 Min.

(2) Genetec setup

Genetec Config Tool  Tasks  Archive transfer

Click the Plus sign on the left bottom corner  Click “Retrieve from edge ”
Click the Plus sign  choose the Device from the list, make sure it appears in the Sources box
 Turn the “Upon reconnection” feature on  Choose “Specific”  Tick “All archives
when the camera was offline”  Fill in the 2 blanks with 60 & 20  Click Save button
(Please also aware that you need to input a name for this rule at “Name” field at the top of this
pop-up box)

Enable Edge playback

Click “Tasks” at left panel  Click “Video” icon
Click “Archiver” at left panel  Click “Resources” tab  Click “Advanced Settings” at right
bottom  Turn the feature “Enable edge playback requests” on  Click “OK”

Now you will see this configured rule appears, and the configuration is processed now.
