Update Guide for Platform Software on Pre-production CPB539 Boards
Purpose of this guide
This guide is aimed at users who have PSS 5000 systems where the
CPB539 boards run the software: Rootfs vers. 799-01-103 or earlier.
Before these systems can be updated using the standard update pro-
cess/procedures, it is necessary to bring them into a state where they
use the Rootfs version 799-01-104.
Note: If the file names of any of the software packages on your system contain the letter “t”, do not continue with the update.
Contact Doms (support@doms.dk) and they will tell you how to make the software updates.
Preparations
Before you start, make sure that you can access to the Doms Down-
load Center (https://downloadcenter.doms.com).
1. Download the following software package versions:
• CPB539 Rootfs: 799-61-104
And the latest versions for:
• CPB539 Rootfs: 799-61-xxx
• FCC Web Appl: 900-01-xxx
• CPB539 U-Boot: 467-01-xxx
• PSS Manager: 469-01-xxx
2. Finalize all the transactions on the site & close all the forecourt
devices.
3. Use menu 5.1. Backup/Restore to make a backup of the current
PSS Setup & PSS Configuration.

The following procedure describes how to bring your system up to a
level where all the latest software releases (except PSS Applications)
are running.
Note: PSS Application software cannot be updated unless you purchase
an update or have a valid Software Maintenance Agreement.
Update Procedure
1. Use menu 5.2 Software Update to install 799-61-104.
2. Use menu 5.8.1 System Reboot to reboot the system.
3. Use menu 5.2 Software Update to install the latest release of
CPB539 Rootfs 799-61-xxx and then reboot the system again.
4. Install the latest version of the FCC Web Application 900-01-xxx.
5. Install the latest release of CPB539 U-Boot 467-01-xxx and then
reboot the system. (Systems with Rootfs 799-61-109 or later will
reboot automatically when necessary).
6. Install the latest version of the PSS Manager 469-01-xxx
7. If necessary, use menu 5.1. Backup/Restore to restore the PSS
Setup and PSS Configuration.
8. Open the forecourt devices for normal operation.
