November Newsletter

Dear Parents,
During the month of November, we will be busy
with a variety of things. We will continue to work on our
small moment writing pieces and practice bouncing and stretching words we
don't know. We will also be finishing up our handwriting pages/practice. We are
still using our story hand to tell our stories about "one time and one place."
Our guided reading groups are going well and the students are excited
about being able to read their very own books. They are using their new reading
skills such as looking at the picture and looking at the beginning sounds to figure
out new words. They are starting to pick out their sight words very quickly in
these new stories and that is very encouraging.
Please make sure that you are completing the homework assignments at
home with your child. Thanks so much for all of your support.
