Closing Activity
 Working in sections, rehearse based on what we hear in the recording (play recording back in small sections, rehearsing in
between)

Assessment:
 Recording the run-through allows both myself and the students to assess where they are at with this piece. They will have a
chance to hear exactly what they sound like, and I can assess what I need to plan for based on what happens in the run-
through.

Reflection:
 Today’s rehearsal was very interesting. Many members of the ensemble are missing, so it was an even smaller group than
usual. The run-through was not great, but we powered through and at least managed to make it to the end together. The
ensemble was very open to reflecting on their performance and what they heard in the recording. I think using this recording
will be very helpful in the future as we continue to rehearse sections of this piece.
