(C) IS PM10 SIGNIFICANTLY CORRELATED WITH WS AND AT AT
5% LEVEL OF SIGNIFICANCE? JUSTIFY YOUR ANSWER.

PM10 vs P values correlation coefficient

Wind speed 0.130853 0.067655

Atmospheric temperature 4.18E-22 .41

If the p-value is less than the significance level (α = 0.05):

P value for Atmospheric temperature is less than .05 So there is a significant linear relationship between PM10
and Atmospheric temperature. So we are sure that PM10 is significantly correlated With AT at this level of
significance.

If the p-value is NOT less than the significance level (α = 0.05):

P value for wind speed is not less than .05 So there is an insufficient evidence of linear relationship between
PM10 and windspeed. Also by correlation matrix correlation between two is coming near 0 so they might not
significantly correlated

CONCLUSION

• PM2.5 and PM10 concentration is on the peak at 9 AM and 8 PM. It increased from 6 am to 9 am and decreases from 9 to 12

• PM2.5 are lighter and go deeper into the lungs and cause greater damage longer term. They also stay in the air longer and
travel farther.

• The mean Conc. Of PM2.5 AND PM10 is lying in very poor AQI category.

• The air quality is very poor ,People may suffer health issues at Talcher Coalfields

• PM2.5 and PM10 are correlated with each other and with increase in
temperature they are decreasing
