In recent years, due to the urbanlization, more and more children have to
grow up with their families in metropolis. Some people believe that it is better for
children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. However, other people
think that a big city gives more opportunities and it is good for the long run.
Personally, for several reasons I think that both urban and rural areas have
their own advantages and disadvantages.
First of all, it is very important for a child to grow up in a healthy
environment. Children need fresh air, not polluted by the huge amount of cars
and factories of the modern city. In the country, they can spend more time
exercising and walking with their friends. Scientists say that now children spend
the same amount of time watching TV as they do at school. Probably, the
possibility to join their friends for a play will change this proportion. Another
important aspect of this is that parents will have more time to spend with their
children as a result of eliminating traffic jams and decreasing driving time as a
whole.
 From the other side, children have some advantages living in a big city.
For example, they have more opportunities to choose from what they want to do.
They can choose to attend ballet school, school of art, gymnastics, etc. For the
long run, it is good for them. They will be better prepared for a life in a "real
world" and they will have more chances to make a good career and succeed.
Moreover, a big city usually has many entertaining centres with movie theatres
and play stations.One more reason to choose a big city for a child is that a city
provides better live conditions and services such as medical, dental, etc.
To summarise, in order to povide a best environment for children to grow
up, governments around the world should cope with the pollution issue in big city
while upgrade services in the countryside.

In recent years, due to the urbanlization, there are more and more
children have to grow up in metropolis with their families. However, many
people believe that bringing up young generation in a big city is not as good as the
countryside. In my point view, both urban and rural areas have their own
benefits and drawbacks for children’s growth.
On the one hand, big city can provide numerous of opportunities for
children in order to fulfill their dreams. It is undeniable that each city in the
world has a huge amount of modern facilities, lead to far better services (such as
education, medical, traffic and playground) compare with country. Using
those services wisely would help parents to equip for their kids many essential
knowledge and skills, which are extremely necessary for their future lives and
careers.
On the other hand, government in urban areas have been dealing with
pollution problems for a long time, therefore, living in city may not a good option
for a child’s health. Take an example in Ha Noi – capital of Vietnam –
because of emissions come from vehicles and factories, the amount of dust has
reached the alarm, causing many respiratory diseases to citizens, especially
children. With the fresh air, clean food and drink, countryside seem to be a
better place for kids to grow up. It is witnessed that nowadays, several wealthy
families tend to move to the suburbs while still let their kids study in metopolis. As
a consequence, those children can both improve their minds and be healthy at the
same time. However, major of families nowadays are not able to afford for that
lifestyle. So they have to choose to cope with pollution or the lack of services.
To conclude, in order to povide a best environment for children to grow up,
governments around the world should address the pollution issue in big city while
upgrade services in the rural areas.
