Every place has its advantages and disadvantages when you decide to live there.

A question is:
which places will help your children grow up better, the city or the countryside? Some people
believe that it is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. However, other
people think that a big city meets all of humanity's and children's needs. To me, I think it's better for
children to grow up in a city than a rural area for many reasons.
First, by living in the countryside, children can grow up in a healthy environment. Because
here, children can have clear, fresh air instead of the polluted air from the city. Children in the
countryside also spend more time exercising and walking than in the city. Children in the city spend
most of their time playing phone games and watching TV, which is the same amount of time they
study at school. Moreover, in the countryside, parents don't have to worry about traffic jams when
they drive their children to school, and children can take their time to walk to school with friends in
safety.
On the other side, by living in the city, although there is air pollution and traffic jams, children
still have more advantages than if they lived in the countryside. Children can choose what they want
to do or learn because there are many classes with many specialties, such as piano, ballet, art,...
Besides, the colleges in a small country may not provide the scope that is more needed in a labor
market; that’s why the city is more preferable for many children because of the variety of colleges
that include many majors with teachers of high qualification and knowledge. In the city, there are
also many entertainment centers where children can hang out with friends or parents after many
weeks of studying. Last but not least, the city has better medical care, dental care, etc. than the
countryside, giving children better conditions to live in.
 To sum up, it is good to raise children in the country, but to me, the city is the best place to
live. The opportunities in the city can help children choose exactly what they really like and want to
study, which will help a lot with their future jobs. The city can also meet all the human needs of
study, job, and medical service.
