What does past participle mean? A past participle is formed from a verb.
Because it is used to express actions that have already happened, it takes the
past tense form. Most past participles end in -ed.
The past participle of some verbs ending in a short vowel sound require
doubling the last consonant before adding “-ed”
The past participle of verbs that end with an “e” required only adding a “d” to
the end of the word.
➢ Today: hoy
➢ At the moment: en el momento
➢ Now: ahora
➢ Right now: ahora mismo
➢ LooK!
➢ Silent please!
➢ Listen!
Ejemplos:
➢ Yesterday: ayer
➢ Last week, last month, last year
➢ The other day
➢ When (+ un momento concreto)
➢ Four days ago: hace cuatro días
➢ A week ago: hace una semana
➢ In (+ año)
➢ The day before yesterday: anteayer
Ejemplos:
➢ How long has Steve lived here? (¿Cuánto tiempo lleva Steve viviendo aquí?)
➢ Steve has lived here since last summer (Steve lleva viviendo aquí desde el
pasado verano)
“JUST” describe en el presente perfecto una acción que acaba de ocurrir en
el pasado inmediato, utilizamos la frase just para señalar esta inmediatez.
Podemos traducir "just" en español por "acabar de + infinitivo".
Ejemplos:
Como se puede observar palabra “just” se coloca entre los verbos auxiliares
have / has y el verbo en participio pasado.
“Already” y “Yet” son expresiones de tiempo que aparecen frecuentemente
cuando se hace referencia a un momento definido del pasado.

➢ Has he done his homework yet? (¿Ha hecho sus deberes ya?)
