GUIDELINES FOR PREPARING
TECHNICAL SEMINAR REPORT
Size:
Bond paper should be used for the preparation of the Seminar Report. Typing should be done on
the 12 font size letters. (Times New Roman)
The layout should provide a margin of 4 cm on the left, 3 cm on the top and bottom, and 1.5 cm
on the right.
Fresh paragraph should commence after five spaces. Double spacing shall be provided throughout
the report. The page numbers shall be indicated at the bottom-middle of each page.

The following is the suggested format for arranging the technical seminar report matter into various
Chapters.

3. Theoretical and Analytical Discussion
4. Advantages, Disadvantages and Applications,
5. Conclusion & Future scope
References/Bibliography/Websites
Appendices (if any).
Sub-topics, if any, may be indicated as 1.1.1, 1.1.2, . . . . . etc i.e., the first digit representing the
chapter, the second representing the topic and the third representing the sub-topic.
Figures and Tables: The figures and tables occurring in a chapter may be serially numbered as Fig.1.1, 1.2
etc. / Table 1.1, 1.2,. etc., where the first digit represents the chapter, the second digit represents figure
number/table number.
Graphs: The graph should clearly indicate the points which are used for drawing the curve or curves.
Bibliography/References/Websites :
It is preferred that in the text - the author and the year of publication is quoted without serial number.
At the end of report where the listing of references is done, the list should be made strictly in alphabetic order
of the name of the authors. For websites include complete URL
