ACTIVITY DESIGN

RATIONALE:
Education is an one of the primal concern of the society as it prepares the total being of our young ones who
will lead our future. Hence its essential that we need to send them to school with filled stomach and eating the
right kind of food. This will enable them to maximize their God given skills and talents in order to attain their
goals and aspirations.
Tagum Cooperative through the Communication, Education and Community Development (CECD) department
launched the Lunch Hot Plus program since 2013 and there is no stopping as it continues to conduct this
endeavor on a yearly basis. This means that its effectiveness in providing the holistic growth and development
of the children has been evident by means of giving them the nutritious and delicious food they need to
perform well in school.
This initiative was made possible in the partnership with our Local Government Unit ( LGU), Non-government
Agencies and Department of Education (DepEd) in order to live part of the mission of TC in improving the
socio-economic status of the members of the society and abiding to the 7th Principle; Concern for the
Community.
OBJETIVES:
a. provide healthy and delicious meal wasted and severely wasted children which they will
enjoy

b. give them the energy and concentration they need so that they can perform well in
academics and ensure class attendance.

c.fullfill part of the mission of Tagum Cooperative which is to improve the socio economic live
of the members of the community.

DESIRED RESULTS:
Hot Lunch Plus is a feeding program that aims to sustain the ideal physique and cognitive ability
of children that is deprived with proper nutrition. This will be a 120- days program with 5
schools recipients for each division. There will be a whole day ceremony to be participated by
the school recipient ( teachers, parents and students ) officers and employees of Tagum
Cooperative and the partnered groups like LGU, private sectors and DepEd . Signing of
Memorandum of Agreement in the special portion of the program then actual feeding program
will be conducted on later part. Disbursement of allowance would be made for five months and
an approved meal plan by DepEd will be followed. After the five months is the culmination
program.

August 2019- January 2020

PROPOSED RECIPIENT AND BRIEF BACKGROUND:

There will be five schools with 40 students in each division solicited from DepEd which they consider wasted

and severely wasted children. Moreover it has been noted that location of the selected schools is strategic

since has it has nearby TC branches that would usher to the further growth and development of the

cooperative.
