Reaction Paper to the Movie “ Legally Blonde”

The story of Legally Blonde (2001) movie is adapted from the novel with the same
title written by Amandra Brown. Directed by Robert Luketic, starring Reese Witherspoon
(Elle Woods), Luke Wilson (Emmet Richmond), Matthew Davis ( Warner Huntington III ),
and Selma Blair ( Vivian Kenstington ). This movie tells us about a Elle, a beautiful barbie
girl , that her life starts to slide downhill when her boyfriend, Warner, decides to break up
with her because the was too blonde. To win her boyfriend’s heart back , she decides to enter
Harvard’s Law School just to know that Warner is engaged to another woman. She finds it
hard at first to be a law student but after hardwork and dedication, she proves to eveyone that
she is worth it after winning a pretigious case. It means she starts from no-one to someone
very special.

My first impression of Elle Woods was how confident and unique she was. Too
unique at the fisrt place makes me not surprise why Warner wants to break up with her. One
of the reasons why Turner wants to break up with her because she is too blonde and think it
was something bad, it makes me concern about the discrimination that happen in this world.

As a highschool student I can clearly see the relation between Elle’s problems and
ours. At first, she is overwhelmed by the subject she have to learn in law school , she is
shunned by everyone, she is considered as a dumb girl , and she also experience heart break.,
which are common problems for us, highschool students. Her determination and confident
are very good examples for us. It was amazing how Elle can work under pressure from her
surrounding, that shows that she is not a dumb blonde but a super tough girl. And, sometimes
we should’nt listen for others comments that give us negative energy. Just like Elle, she never
cares about others say about her, that is what makes her so confident and unique.

Another lesson that we can learn is that your effort won’t betray your result. In the
movie , we can see that Elle works so hard to make Warners comes back to her. But , instead
of get her boyfriend back, she gets Emmet who is a better man than Warner. If proves that if
you work hard and focus on your goal , you can achieve what you really wanted or even
better ones . So, we must’nt give up on our dreams, because if Elle can achieve her happily
ever after, so do we.

Lastly,I want to recommend this movie to people of age 12 or above , because in this
movie we can see many good examples for us, and the most important thing is this movie
could give us an exciting entertainment . So, learning and having fun at the same time would
be a perfect idea to fill your weekends.
