WORLD WAR II

The Second World War is considered the greatest war in history. No other before
or after has equaled it, in the degree of mobilization of resources (material and
human) or in the number of victims. It produced several tens of millions of deaths
(the figure cannot be calculated exactly). It was also the first war in which more
civilians died than soldiers. The casualties occurred at the front, but also because of
the bombings. Nor should we forget the extermination, the mass murder of entire
communities, such as European Jews in Nazi concentration camps.
It was an armed conflict that began in 1939 and ended in 1945, although some
argue about when it actually began. This war has its causes in the aftermath of the
First World War, the very unjust agreement signed by Germany known as "Treaty of
Versailles", this causes a series of economic dysfunctions, not only for the Germans
but because they cannot pay their commitments of compensation, England and
France cannot pay their loans to the United States. After a series of political conflicts
on the part of the German parties Adolf Hitler reaches the power in 1936 to the
control of the National Socialist Party (NAZI). Hitler accuses the Jews of getting rich
with the people's money and takes away their assets, in order to finance a very quick
recovery of the economy and a powerful army. It also has a very aggressive policy
of expansion, annexing Germany to Austria, then to Czechoslovakia, based on
claims about Czech territories that had German populations.
France and England declare war and form the side of "The Allies". To this side
joins China, the countries of the British Union and the United States and Russia
towards the middle of the conflict. The other side is that of the "Axis" powers with
Germany, Japan and Italy. The United States enters the war because Japan
declares war on it in no more than an hour, then the Imperial Navy makes an attack
on the North American Pacific fleet that was docked in Pearl Harbor.
Russia enters the war, because the Germans violate a non-aggression
agreement and invade the Soviet colossus. Once he realized his mistake he
summoned the huge Soviet army, what the Germans called the Russian front, after
a terribly hard winter, the Germans had to start the retreat and this marks the
beginning of the end of the war in Europe. The Americans, French and English along
with the Russians manage to subdue the Germans and the war ends in May 1945 in
Europe. In Asia the war ends when on August 6 the city of Hiroshima is destroyed
by a single B-29, carrier of the first atomic bomb used on a civilian population, and
on August 9, the city of Nagasaki is destroyed by a weapon similar.

The Second World War is so far the largest armed conflict in the history of the
world, in that battle the axis powers fought against the allied powers, and in which
2% of the world's total population died, totaling around about 60 million people; This
occurred between the years of 1939 and 1945, when the armed forces of more than
seventy countries participated in air, naval and terrestrial combats. There are many
causes that originated this conflict and among which are the invasions by the
Germans to Poland, the attacks by the Japanese to China, the United States, and
the British and Dutch colonies in Asia, as well as the defeat of Germany in the First
World War.
