    ENGLISH PICO DE ORIZABA


    Mount Citlaltépetl, better know as Pico de Orizaba is the highest mountain in
    México, At 5626 meters, is an inactive volcano located in the territorial limits
    of states of Puebla and Veracruz. Many people come to México every year to
    go hiking and climb Pico de Orizaba. The people who have had more
    experience climbing said that first the beginners climb Iztaccíhuatl because it´s
    not that high. On the other hand the climatic characteristics of the Citlaltépetl
    and the Sierra Madre Oriental are quite varied, mainly due to the altitude and
    the slope. The predominant climatic types are: humid temperate, subhumid
    temperate and cold. The Pico de Orizaba is an important wonder of nature
    because the glacier system is of vital importance to the communities
    surrounding the volcano because the moderate and natural melting of the
    volcanoes allows the resupply of the springs and wells in the area.
