BorderTool TPS is a free tool to edit your Borderlands: The Pre-

Sequel saved games or profile. Now you may increase your

statistics such as experience points, cash, golden keys,
weapons, items etc.
Mac App Store version users can now enjoy golden keys.

This is a beta version. It is slow and can be quirky or full of

bugs, it can corrupt saved games or profiles.
Use at your own risk.

It is derived from BorderTool 2 that was inspired by Rick's

Borderlands 2 Save Editor for Windows (http://gib.me/). Thank
you Rick for making your sources available!

Various Unsorted Information:

- It’s mandatory to completely quit Borderlands: The Pre-

Sequel before editing profile and saved games. Having it open
at the main menu is not enough. Quit it.

- You probably shouldn’t change the Playthrough setting… Use

the game for this.

- BorderTool TPS is intended to edit Borderlands: The Pre-

Sequel Mac and PC profiles/saved games only . Don't try it on
Borderlands 2 nor PS, XBox, etc. saves. If you try anyway,
don't blame me…

- Editing missions is still unreliable. You’ve been warned.

- Saved Games and Profiles can be found by navigating to:

- if you use the steam version:
<home folder>/Library/Application Support/Borderlands The Pre-
Sequel/WillowGame/SaveData
There you'll find:
- a folder named "0" if you play some standalone non-
Steam version;
- a folder named with a bunch of digits for each Steam
account used to play the game.

- or, if you use the Mac App Store version:

<home folder>/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.borderlandspresequel.appsto
re/Data/Library/Application Support/Borderlands The Pre-
Sequel/WillowGame/SaveData

Inside these folders, the profile is the file named profile.bin

and the saved games are the files named Save????.sav (one
save file per character).
The profile holds values valid for all your characters, such as
golden keys, badass stats and Claptrap's stash.
The saved games hold character specific data such as
weapons, stats, class, name.

- When editing weapons or items:

- Note that not every combination of
Type/Balance/Manufacturer/etc. is valid. Except for SetID,
values known to be invalid are highlighted in red and should
be changed before saving. The SetID designates the DLC for
DLC specific gear and should be left to 0 except where
required. It is highlighted in red when unnecessarily
requiring a DLC, which is not always an error (e.g. the
Haymaker is marked this way to require the "Shock Drop
Slaughter Pit" pre-order bonus pack, but you may set the
SetID to 0 and enjoy the HayMaker without the add-on).
SetID, Type and Balance are the base for all other fields'
validity. Black values are not 100% sure to be valid, though.
If you don't have the SetID's corresponding DLC,
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel won't be able to access
required resources. Invalid combinations of gear values will
probably cause Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to dismiss the
weapon/item, or maybe even crash.
- You can add weapons and items in the backpack even when
it's full. This naturally occurs in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
when receiving a mission reward and the backpack is full.
But you should be cautious anyway.
- Weapons and items can be copied/pasted, allowing you to
transfer gear from one saved game or profile to another.
Pasting is done by replacing the current gear, so you may
need to click on the 'Add…' button to add a new gear before.
Copied and pasted gear can also be copied/pasted as text,
using the same format Rick's Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!
Editor (available at http://gib.me/). This way, you can share
gear with Mac or PC friends, e.g. you can copy the following
line, then paste it on a saved game's weapon:

BLOZ(igAAAAC+3ADECoA7BJPJxAAKAmQA5P+/ESAJQBiAAPAcANk
EJAHk)
Please note that Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-
Sequel codes are not cross-game compatible. Borderlands 2
codes are for Borderlands 2 only, Borderlands: The Pre-
Sequel codes are for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel only. You
can’t "port" a weapon or an item between these games using
these codes.

- Customizations and Badass Rewards are listed in your

current localization for easier use.

- When saving modifications, BorderTool TPS makes a backup

of the original file next to the saved file.

- When opening a saved game, BorderTool TPS immediately

adjust experience points, if required, to match the minimum
requirement of the experience level; it also adjust various
variables such as backpack and bank size and their black
market upgrade level. If any adjustment was required, the
document will intentionally appear as already modified at
opening.

- When opening a profile, BorderTool TPS immediately adjust

earned Badass Tokens and Badass Rank if required. If so, the
document will intentionally appear as already modified at
opening.

- Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel might hang or crash with

modified profile or saved game with unreasonably large or
small edited value. It's also possible to create strange
situations, such as a backpack containing more gear than
allowed. How Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will handle such
situations is unknown and may vary from version to version.
Beware.
