Superior RAM Compressor

GE's reciprocating, balance opposed Superior* RAM compressor
contains a host of features that are standard only on the RAM.
For example, the RAM has all air-cooled cylinders, valve spacers
on all cylinders 6.5 inches and above, and manual variable
volume pockets on all cylinders as standard equipment.

Standard Features
RAM standard features include a crankshaft made from forged
or billet heat-treated SAE 4140 steel. For added strength and
durability, the frame and crosshead guides are a one-piece integral
cast iron unit. Additional features include the crankshaft gear driven RAM Specs Applications
oil pump and system relief valve, crankcase strainer and full-flow oil • Reciprocating, balanced • Fuel Gas Boosting
filter with replaceable filter element. Bolts are SAE 4140 steel with opposed to ±1 lb. • Gas Gathering
