Project Proposal
Project Title: The teenager’s nightlife
Deadline:12/12/19
Statement of aims:

I aim to create a documentary piece that depicts the life of teenagers out at night.
Making their own fun and making memories together, to capture this I will be using
snap shot photography and using the on-camera flash as there will be limited light. I
will also be using ambient lighting which is colourful and bold. My piece will have
elements of fashion but won’t be the main focus of the piece. I will be shooting at
least 4 times to create my best work. My final piece will be displayed in a scrap book
or sketch pad on black paper, I want to print as many photos from all shoots that I like
and want to include in the final piece. To stick them in the book I want to use masking
tape as it will give the book an aesthetic I’m aiming for. All the photos I choose, will
communicate my context that I have been researching.

For each photo shoot I will be using various locations, having props like food or phones
and I will be using reliable models. To create my piece, I’ll need to plan out my shoots
carefully and make sure that my time management Allows me plenty of time to
experiment and research before the final deadline. I will need to book equipment from
the college. I will also need to bring money so that I can shoot in the Arcade and have
my subjects play around.
