I. answer any four questions each carries five marks 5X4=20

1)draw the ac equivalent circuit of amplifier shown in figure using hybrid-π model and T model for the
transistor. label all components values in the circuit and the model. assume β=100 and early voltage
VA=100V

2)determine the small signal voltage gain(Av) and output resistance of CE circuit shown figure for these
combinations of parameters
a)RB=330KΩ and β=50
b)RB=330KΩ and β=150
c) RB=220KΩ and β=50
assume early voltage VA=100V
hint:use hybrid-π model

3)the following test results are obtained in a CE amplifier circuit shown in figure while measuring h-
parameters experimentally
i) with ac output shorted Ib=20µA,Ic=1mA Vbe=22mV and Vce=0V
ii) with ac input open Ib=0,Ic=30µA Vbe=0.25mV and Vce=1V
draw the small signal equivalent circuit for the given circuit and find input impedance and voltage gain of
the amplifier
4)for the CE amplifier shown in figure
a)find ICQ and VCEQ
b)what will happen to Vce if R2 is removed in the circuit and comment on transistor

5)for the transistor configuration shown figure input is given at the base and output is taken from the
emitter. Draw the small signal equivalent circuit using common emitter h-parameters. Hence compute the
small signal voltage gain and input impedance. given that hie=1kΩ, hfe=100, hre=0 and hoe=0.what is the
configuration of the transistor

6)determine the dc level of IB,VB,VC,IC and VE values for the amplifier shown in figure
