REFLECTION: The Beauty of

Astronomy
“Astronomers, like burglars and jazz
musicians, operate best at night.” Last
Wednesday, October 30, 2019 we went to our
school’s Science Fair. We were supposed to go in
Biology Gallery, but the students told us that it’s
still closed, then we decided to go in Astronomy
Gallery instead of wasting our time waiting.
As I entered the room, it was dark and the
lights are dim. The pictures caught my attention,
because they were amazingly beautiful. I’m
always amazed by the night sky on clear, and
moonless night. Having an unexplained mystery,
astronomy also has served as a way to keep time
and predict the future. Astronomy is the science
of the celestial bodies. Examples of celestial
bodies are the sun, moon, planets, stars,
galaxies, and all other objects in the universe.
Astronomy may be the oldest recorded science.
With development of astronomy we know how
huge universe is and there still a lot of things that
we have to discover.

We all know how night sky looks like, but

what is beyond it nobody exactly knows. To
understand universe around us Astronomy needs
a lot of different tools, like telescope, spacecrafts,
cameras, and computers. With the help of these
instruments, you have an opportunity to find out
CABACUNGAN, KATRINA P. BA –FS MW (2:30-4:00)
and solve the biggest secrets of the universe.
Perhaps you are the one who will find an alien life
