Reaction Paper

The movie “In Time (2011)” starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried emphasizes the

value of time in our daily lives. It shows us a world where time is turned into a currency, which is

used to gain access to various necessities needed for everyday living. Therefore, in its universe

“time” should be used wisely since people only possess a limited amount. This is much like the

reality in our world where time is also valuable; a wasted minute or hour can have a big impact on

us.

The value of time is much more evident when handling disasters. Before, during, or after it

happens. Every second counts, a missed beat or step can lead to increasing disasters. As such, we

should all learn from what the movie teaches us. Never be complacent and making the most of our

limited time which in the movie leads to the survival of the protagonists, and in our case our safety

from disaster.
