In these years, there is a growing recognition that English is well on its way to

becoming the dominant global language. As the language of communications,

science, information technology, business, entertainment and diplomacy, English
is now spoken at a useful level by over a quarter of the world’s population. And,
I, as an English learner, would like to share with you some tips in order to step
up your game.
First, set yourself a long-term goal, this will motivate you to learn and concentrate
on working towards it. I suggest you should set goals which are specific,
measurable, achievable, relevant and timebound. Setting good goals is essential
to keep your motivation healthy and balanced. However, you should avoid
comparing yourself to native speakers; instead, focus on your weaknesses and try
to fix them.

Second, start to write online blogs and share them with the world. You should
begin with writing small sentences first and don’t be afraid to make mistakes.
Your mistakes are very important and will actually help you learn English. There
are variety of topics, but I suggest you should choose the one that you’re
interested in or feel familiar with, so that you can enjoy writing it. However, for
people who are shy to share their words, be confident, overcome your shyness
and you’ll feel great afterwards.
Last but not least, try so speak as often and as much as possible. I can assure that
nothing will help with your speaking except for speaking itself. Speaking English
is a practical skill, It’s like doing a sport or playing a musical instrument, you
need to practice regularly if you want to make any progress. I’d recommend you
to spend at least 3 hours a week practicing your speaking. There are many ways,
for instance, talking to foreigners in your city, taking part in activities with
English speakers and so on. Push yourself outside of your comfort zone and start
speaking English today!

To sum up, from my perspective, those are the most effective study methods that
I highly recommend. To everyone, aim for the stars and the fruitful target is there
for you to reap.
