Day 1- 14th Dec - Thane to Chittorgarh via Godhra


Bypass- 810 kms - Hotel - RNB
Day 2- 15th Dec - Chittorgarh to Moradabad ( Bikers
need to avoid using the Delhi peripheral expressway)-
790 kms - Hotel MB Greens Clark's Inn.
Day 3 - 16th Dec- Moradabad to chisapani Nepal via
Bhimdatta checkpost Nepal ( After- entering the
bhimdatta checkpost about 100 mtrs on the right is
the customs / Bansar office, they will ask for vehicle
Reg and 100 bucks for a day for the bike...Personal
entry not required! , they accept indian currency ) - 283
kms - Hotel - Siddhartha Resort.
Day 4 - 17th Dec - Chisapani to Chitwan,
sauraha( Speed- limits thru national parks are strictly
monitored stick to the timings given by the check post
or keep 40 kmph)- 446 kms - Hotel -Jungle wildlife
camp.
Day 5 -18th Dec - Chitwan National Park- Jeep Safari
( Jeep safari costs approx 2500 bucks, Rhino and croc
sightings are very common)
Day 6-19th Dec- Chitwan Nepal to Siliguri India( Single
lane highways and town after town)( Entering- into
India no one checked any papers)- 496 kms - The Loft
Hotel.
Day 7 - 20th Dec - Siliguri to Phuentsholing Bhutan( No
permits are needed to enter Bhutan/ Phuentsholing) -
153 kms - Park Hotel.
Day 8 - 21st Dec - Phuentsholing to Thimphu ( Making-
permits usually requires one day, sat and sun the
immigration office is shut. Get your passport stamped
for Entry into Bhutan at the office and submit your
papers of Id proof and hotel bookings if any, this permit
is only valid for Thimphu and Paro) 150 kms - Hotel
Bhutan Boutique Residency.
Day 9 - 22nd Dec -Thimphu(Make permits for restricted
areas to be visited, eg: Haa valley, Punakaha ,
Bumthang etc) - local sightseeing- Buddha Point &
Simply Bhutan.
Day 10 - 23rd Dec - Thimphu to Punakaha via Dochula
Pass - 70 kms - Hotel Punaka Residency
Day 11 - 24th Dec - Punakaha to Phobjika valley and
Gangtey Monastery( Popular for- the Black neck crane
and the Monastery) - 81 kms
Day 12 - 25th Dec - Punaka to Thimphu for Permit
Extension( our permits were only valid for one week
so we went to the immigration office at Thimphu and
got an extension stamp on the passport and stamp
on the vehicle permit from the RSTA office) - 69kms -
Thimphu to Paro -56 kms - Hotel Metta Resorts .
Day 13 - 26th Dec - Paro , Tigers Nest - 8 kms
Day 14 - 27th Dec - Paro, Local sightseeing
Day 15 - 28th Dec - Paro to Phuentsholing( Take the
exit stamp on your passport from the check post)- 150
kms - Park Hotel
Day 16 - Phuentsholing Bhutan to Guwahati assam
( mix of 2 lane and 4 lane highways...kind of painful
traffic sense as every one is driving/riding on the
wrong side...even more painful as riding in Bhutan was
sheer bliss! ) - 370 kms - Hotel Contour.
Day 17 - Guwahati local sightseeing- Kamakhya
Temple, Bramhaputra River Cruise and Umananda
Temple/ Island & Assam zoo and Botanical garden
( zoo not recommended)
Day 18 - Guwahai to Tezpur- 190 kms - Hotel KRC
palace - Local Sightseeing- Da parbatia temple and
Agnigarh ( Not worth halting in Tezpur! )
Day 19 - Tezpur to Kaziranga- 40 kms - Hotel - The
Green Village Resort (close to Gate no 1) - jeep safari
(cost 2500 for 2 hrs by hotel)
Day 20 - Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park- 40
kms from Hotel.
Day 21 - Kaziranga to Meghalaya/Mawphalang- 250
kms ( mix of 2 and 4 lane highways) - Home Stay
Maple Pine Farm. ( approach road is off roading and a
small stream crossing)
Day 22 - Sacred forest trail walk ( 4kms from Maple
pine)and Ride to Mawlynbna ( average road condition)
- 47kms
Day 23- Mawphlang to Sohra- 52 kms- Home Stay
Cascade ( Narrow road and average condition)
Day 24 - Sightseeing to Waterfall Mawsawaw 20 mins
from Home stay, Long root bridge and Nohkalikai
Waterfalls. ( The long root bridge is 3000 steps down
from the entrance, the double decker bridge 5000
steps and Rainbow falls are further down that trail.)
Day 25 - Cherrapunji to Dawki/Shnongpdeng - 90 kms -
Hotel Beetle Nut resort. (Ride to Dawki is a must, most
of the road is in good condition. Very narrow sections
in places. After Dawki to shnongpdeng bad roads. )
Day 26 - Chilling out on the banks of the Dawki River,
Boating and Kayaking.
Day 27 - Shnongpdeng to Guwahati- 180 kms- Hotel
Bhargav Grand
Day - 28 - Guwahati to Kalimpong-500 kms( Mix- of
2lane and 4 lane highways, road construction in
progress, BEWARE OF TRAFFIC MOVING ON THE
WRONG SIDE! absolutely worst traffic sense ive
every seen. )- Hotel Summit Barsana Resort ( Narrow
winding roads start from Sevoke to the hotel..Some
stretches have bad patches...overall good)
Day 29 - Kalimpong To Gangtok - 70 kms ( If you've
never ridden in the hills be extra careful and slow,
most vehicles will keep on their side of the road, I s
aid most З There will still be a few who will not see a
gigantic motorcycle with all its lights on! )- Hotel The
Golden Crest .
Day 30 - Gangtok to Siliguri - 110 kms - The Loft Hotel
Day 31 - Siliguri (West Bengal) to Chitwan national
Park( Nepal)- 496 kms- Hotel Jungle Wildlife camp
Day 32- Jeep Safari( 3620 nepali Ru per head) and
Canoeing
Day 33 - Chitwan to chisapani - 450 kms - Hotel
Siddhartha Resort
Day 34 - Chisapani ( Nepal)to Jim corbett National
Park(Uttarakhand)- 281 kms- Hotel The Wild Crest
Day 35 - Jeep Safari( Arranged by Hotel)and Corbett's
Museum
Day 36 - Jim corbett to Gurugawa - 326 kms( Took 7
hrs for this leg , high density of traffic, mix of 2 and 4
lane highways with multiple sections of patched up
roads )-Hotel Park Inn Bilaspur .
Day 37 - Gurugawa to Udaipur- 612 kms - Hotel Kaya
Valley Resort
Day 38 - Udaipur to Thane- 716 kms ( Major 4 laning
work in progress, many diversions and truck traffic )

Total 9100 kms .

Countries - 3 ( Transiting thru India to Nepal and then


Bhutan..and back to India via Nepal)

States crossed- MH , GJ , RJ , DL, HR,WB, UP,UK ,SK ,


AS,ML - 11

National Parks- Chitwan, Kaziranga and Jim corbett.
