I. INTRODUCTION
Europe is the center of many regional and transregional organizations that aim to improve
social and economic standings of European countries. However, as external emerging political
powers arise to influence domestic interests, cooperation from member states is needed to help
deal with political turmoil, slowing economic growth and tense relations with the world's
superpowers.

In recent years, populist and nationalist forces have made serious inroads in many member
states, applying impact on the alliance's governmental issues for a straightforward reason: the
variables that added to their ascent are yet present. Issues such as low financial development,
doubt of the advantages of globalization, and worries about the loss of national power will
keep on giving ripe ground to political powers that question the current political and monetary
request in Europe.

The increasing presence of populist and patriot powers is the single most noteworthy
danger to the survival of the European Union in its present structure. Intensifying the issue is
the way that the rise of populist and patriot powers hosts made many moderate political
gatherings receive comparative positions to contend with the upstarts.

Attention should be given to Russia’s aggressive moves toward neighboring states, its
mobilization and strong military activities and presence in EU member states are concerning
NATO as well. This strong surge of political and military actions by Russia is a manifestation
of its agenda towards taming once territories and suppress liberal politics.
