Electronic parking brake (EPB) procedures

Emergency release
Block the wheels before releasing the brake

Disconnect the battery earth cable

Raise the vehicle
Remove the wheel
Disconnect the electronic parking brake actuator connector

Remove the actuator

Release the parking brake

Electronic parking brake (EPB) procedures

Emergency release
Block the wheels before releasing the brake

Disconnect the battery earth cable

Raise the vehicle
Remove the wheel
Disconnect the electronic parking brake actuator connector

Refit the actuator

Renew the seal
Reconnect the electronic parking brake actuator connector
Refit the wheel
Reconnect the battery earth cable
Repeat the procedure for the other side

The electronic parking brake must be calibrated

Use a diagnostic
Remove tool
the actuator
Brake pad replacement
Release the parking brake
Gear lever in positions 'N' or 'P'
Turn the ignition on
Press and hold the electronic parking brake switch
Wait for 2 seconds
Press and hold the accelerator pedal
Wait for 2 seconds
Release the parking brake
Turn the ignition on and off within 2 seconds
An audible signal will sound
Release the accelerator pedal
Release the parking brake
Move the gear lever to position 'N'
