Answer to Question No. 2

The film showed a lot of different and unseen life of some species present in the
ecosystem. The life in the water is such a survival scenario when it comes to food
finding. I find the life of the silver arowana fish so fascinating and unbelievable, if the
arowana that lives in water, runs out of food in their habitat, they find a way to spy
some food outside their living place. A little calm insect such as cricket finely living
on a plant or a tree is being observed and haunted by a predator. The silver arowana
finds it’s the best position and right timing to catch and eat the insect. By simply
jumping out from the water and grab the insect in just a few times, and the arowana
found his food good for surviving one more day. A predation interaction is present in
the scenario, as the silver arowana is preying on the other fish inside the habitat and
attacking the insect outside the water, wherein the insect doesn’t benefit from the fish.

Answer to Question No. 3

In the Amazon forest, the month of December is a disaster era for some animals
in the forest, as it is the start of raining season in the area. Many species could benefit
from the season, but on the other hand, many animals also suffer in the weather. And
a scenario when the rain in the forest suddenly stops, somehow many different species
will suffer and will face a devastating disaster of surviving their lives. Based on my
conceptual framework created, if the water runs out, the vast majority of the species
will be affected. Just like the tree where a lot of animals depend on it as a habitat and
a place for them to catch food. If the tree runs out a supply of water, the tree would
die. Similarly with water living organisms including humans, might also die and
migrate due to lifestyle change and adaptation. With this scenario, it greatly shows
how important the water is, an ecosystem imbalance would be present, and some
other animals must adopt the change for them to survive and cope with the disaster.
Answer to Question No. 4

Balance in the ecosystem is very vital for the lives of all species in the
environment, but a severe disturbance in it might cause a change in the ecosystem. In
the film, humans depend on the generosity of biodiversity and respect it for its
inhabitants for the gift of food. But over the beauty and bounty of the forest, it is also
often masked with danger. When people create negative activities towards
biodiversity such as logging, poaching, and burn-firing, there would be a big impact
on the interactions between species, as based on my created map, most of the
organisms will be affected. As the trees will be cut, many species that live on there
will be lost a shelter and food catching site. As well as a fire burning in the forest will
create danger on the lives of inhabitants. May some of them die, and some will
survive but will suffer for a severe loss in the forest. With this, humans, as considered
as the highest form of species on the planet, must respect and think about the harmful
effect of negative activities in the lives of other organisms present in the ecosystem.
