1. Do you agree with the author’s thesis? To what extent do you agree/disagree? Yes, I agree, and I think many citizens would do the same. Mr. Lasco presented a very
relatable perspective that serves as a metaphor to the daily struggles that we endure each and every day.
2. Are you convinced by the evidence the author presented in the text to support its main idea? Why? Yes, because he included historical events and statistical facts in his
statements to support his main idea given the fact that his argument is already evident to most of us.
