CONCEPT: “Office Zombies” (Narrative)

An “office hero” turns a lifeless office into a vibrant workplace through the power of Federal
Donuts.

Everything is black and white. The focus is on an elevator.

SFX: Boring classical music is playing. An elevator dings, sounding its arrival.

The morning rush of office workers unload from the elevator. Their eyes are dull and their
strides are lifeless as they make their way to their cubicles.

VO: Monday morning the rush hour starts. The office zombies come stumbling
in.

SFX: The elevator dings again.

The elevator arrives again, with a table of oatmeal, toast, and cereal.

VO: Their bland lives are fueled by oats, toast, and cereal.

SFX: The elevator dings again.

A woman stands in the elevator, completely in color, in a colorful/quirky outfit. She holds a box
of Federal Donuts.

The “office zombies” watch as she walks toward her desk. As she sets the box of donuts down,
the desk is shown in color.

VO: But wait, what’s this? This is not part of the routine.

She smiles and takes out a fancy donut from the box, and begins to eat it. The “office zombies”
watch, horrified,

Worker One: (whispers) “​What is she doing?!”

Worker Two: “Donuts are for children!”

The woman notices that the “office zombies” have broken from their routine to watch her eat the
donut. She closes the box, stands and leaves. The “office zombies” resume their
work.

VO: Lunchtime now.

The “office zombies” pull out their lunches of squashed sandwiches and cold leftovers. The
camera focuses on one worker who looks sadly at his lunch, then glances to the
woman’s colorful desk, and back at his lunch.

SFX: The elevator dings.

The elevator opens, and a figure stands, hidden behind a tall stack of donut boxes and bags of
fried
Chicken. As she walks off the elevator towards the colorful desk, the “office zombies” begin to
notice her.

VO: It seems the young woman has returned. What does she have with her?

She sets all the boxes down, and spreads them out evenly atop her desk before opening them.
She turned towards the crowd of cubicles and smiled.

VO: Why, she’s brought lunch for the office! The office zombies don’t quite
know what to do.

The “office zombie” from earlier who had looked sadly at his lunch stands and walks towards the
desk of food. He takes a donut and raises it to his mouth, then hesitantly takes a bite.

SFX: Suddenly the monotonous classical music changes into a upbeat

alternative/dance song.

The “office zombie” becomes a zombie no more. He changes into color, his eyes are no longer
lifeless, and he smiles wide.

VO: They have finally discovered that donuts are not just for breakfast.

The man runs around the office giving all the “office zombies” donuts. As they eat they too are
changed from lifeless workers to vibrant ones. Everything changes into color and the office has
become a joyful place.

VO: You only live once, why not eat dessert first?
The screen switches to a white background.
SFX: The upbeat/party music continues to play.
