Materials

3 Plastic Containers Purified Water (500mL)

3 Metal Plates (Zinc) Digital Balance

Salt Water (500mL) Measuring Cup (125mL)

Tap Water (500mL)

Procedure:

After preparing the necessary materials, the measuring cup was filled with

water specifically, tap water, salt water and purified water, 4 times and poured

the water to 3 different containers which are then labeled to classify and

differentiate the contents of the 3 different containers which are; tap water,

salt water and purified water. After pouring 3 different water to their

respective containers, the Zinc Metal Plate is then submerged within the

container containing water. The container is then left without any lid for air to

pass in that state for 3 weeks. Within the duration of 3 weeks, every 3 days

the state of the Zinc Metal Plate is released from the water and the rusty parts

of the metal is then scraped then placed on the Digital Balance to measure it’s

weight which is then recorded every 3 days in 3 weeks.
