TRANSPORTATION AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF STUDENTS IN

THE ACADEMIC TRACK

Introduction

Transportation is the main use of every students and also teachers which does not
have their own private vehicle. That makes commuter and private user been in traffic for
a long time. Demand for transportation increases because of the fast growing of
population. Transportation is needed to go to other places like school.

Significance of the study

The significance of this is to help the academic students and teachers to go school
safer, faster and look for an alternative route for a faster way that will help the future
researchers who are studying about transportation affect academic performance

Theoretical frame work

Curiously, most of the well-founded investigations focus on factors restricted to

the school time and environment, while little attention has been paid to variables that are
not part of the school shift and surroundings themselves but could significantly affect
academic achievement. A relevant example is the duration of commuting from home to
school (i.e., the travel time). Mohammad Abojaradeh conclude that the movements of
people and goods, which is the basis of transportation, has always been undertaken to
accomplish those basic objectives or tasks that require transfer from one location to
another. Every day, millions of people leave their homes and travel to a workplace,
office, classy stem is one of the most important among transportation systems. This study
posits that transportation affects the academic performance of the students.

Statement of the problem

How may the respondent be describe in terms of:

1.1 time travel and

1.2 academic performance

How does those commuters be traveled faster?

Hypothesis of the study

Ho: There is no significant relationship between transportation and academic

performance of academic students of senior high in Guiguinto National Vocational High
School.

Ha: There is significant relationship between transportation and academic

performance of academic students of senior high in Guiguinto National Vocational High
School.

Definition of terms

Transportation - the action of transporting someone or something or the process of

being transported. (GOOGLE Dictionary)

Academic Track - An academic track defines a set of possible course selections

available to a specific group of students. They are analogous to the colored course
selection sheets common in a paper-based course selection process. Define an academic
track and courses that students can or must complete when assigned to the track

Instrumentation

The researcher will collect data by giving them questionnaire and bring it to their
home and seek permissions from student commuters in Guguinto National Vocational
High school. The researcher will reach the respondents by going to their perspective area

Methodology

Methods and techniques of the study. This is a non- experimental study following
the correlational research design using quantitative approach. This design is deemed
appropriate because it seeks to assess the transportation and academic performance of
students in academic track. Correlation is a statistical measure that indicates the extent to
which two or more variables fluctuate together. A positive correlation indicates the extent
to which those variables increase or decrease in parallel; a negative correlation indicates
the extent to which one variable increases as the other decreases. (Margaret Rouse, 2017)

Data gathering

Data will be organized using an electronic spread shit specifically (MSW)

(Microsoft Word, version 16.0.6741.2048, 2018).data will be analyze using person
product moment that will be tested at 0.05 alpha. Pearson
