WRITTEN CASE ANALYSIS (WAC)

The format of the WAC shall include:

A. Statement of the Problem

- the primary, underlying business or marketing threat or barrier that the company
must overcome in order to succeed.

B. Objectives (Financial/Non Financial, Short, Mid & Long Terms)

C. Situational Analysis

i. Areas of Consideration

- a SWOT type of analysis is suggested


- identify and analyze the critical factors that are relevant to the problem at hand

ii. Alternative Courses of Action

- analyze the courses of action (4Ps) open to the company / management


- evaluate the feasibility of each option (Pros & Cons)
- discuss each option on the strategic level (competitive strategies) and elaborate
further on the operational aspect

D. Recommendation

- focus should be made on actual implementation


- discuss a step by step action plan with proposed budget.
