AN ORDINANCE RENAMING FATHER M.

FERRERO STREET AS CHICIKEN INASAL

ROAD.

WHEREAS, the stretch of road in front of the Manokan Country and siding the Northern part of
SM Bacolod is known as the Father M. Ferrero Street;

WHEREAS, since this road traverses the adjacent Manokan Country where the famous Chicken
Inasal of Bacolod can be located and for it can be easily located by tourists, there was this
proposed ordinance to rename the Father M. Ferrero Street as Chicken Inasal Road.

WHEREAS, in order to arrive a win-win solution whereby Father M. Ferrero’s name will be
etched forever and not be relegated to oblivion and to accommodate the desire of the
proponent, only portion of the Father M. Ferrero Street will be named as Chicken Inasal Road,
leaving the other portion not renamed;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AS IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED, by the Sangguniang

Panlungsod of Bacolod, by virtue of the powers vested in it by law, in a regular session duly
assembled, that an ordinance be passed on first reading:

AN ORDINANCE RENAMING FATHER M. FERRERO STREET AS CHICIKEN INASAL ROAD.

SECTION 1. Portion of Father M. Ferrero Street, from its intersection at Burgos Avenue up to
its intersection in Rizal Street is henceforth hereby renamed as Chicken Inasal Road.
SECTION 2. INSTALLATION OF STREET SIGNS. The City Engineer’s Office is hereby
directed to immediately install the corresponding street name on the area affected, and to
indicate the said street in the map of the City of Bacolod in their records and in online maps
provider such as Google Maps, Waze and alike.

SECTION 4. REPEALING CLAUSE. All previous ordinances, executive orders, rules and
regulations or parts thereof which are inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed and
modified accordingly.

SECTION 5. EFFECTIVITY. This Ordinance shall take effect ten days (15) after the
publication of a local newspaper, as set forth by law.
