Dear Friends:

It is my pleasure to provide a letter of reference for Lexi LaJoice. I have known Lexi for the last
two years. Lexi is one of the most determined young people I have ever met. She is a great
student, a gifted athlete, and a hard worker who is involved with service to her community.

With a grade point average of 3.992 she will graduate in the top ten of her class. She has been
on the honor roll every year in high school and has taken advanced placement classes. She is
studying in the Teacher Prep Academy during her senior year. Lexi has been a member of the
National Honor Society for all three years.

Lexi has been a varsity swimmer since 9th grade. In 10th grade she was all conference and the
swimmer of the meet in an invitational. She was the captain of her team in 11 th and 12th grade.
She has played on the basketball team all through high school. Softball may be her best sport.
She was her team’s captain in 11th grade. Lexi has received the All-Academic Team Award and
has been the team’s MVP for her sophomore and junior seasons.

Lexi has been active in school as a member of the Spanish Club, the Student Senate (currently
the Co-President), was a Junior Class board member and is a member of the Earth Crew as a
senior. She has been active in her church youth group for the last two years and has
participated in the Pink Power Walk every year. This year she also has a part time job as a
hostess at a very popular local restaurant.

One of the ways I have witnessed Lexi’s determination is in her teamwork. I always see her
cheering for her teammates and encouraging them in competitions and in practices. She
relates well with her peers and adults. She is courteous and positive. I believe she will be a
credit to your organization.
