school, worked weekday nights and weekends in order to save money for own college education.

Plasma Center Technician: Medical Historian/ Senior Sample Preparation Technician

 Medical Historian Duties: Screens potential plasma donors to ensure they are healthy enough to
donate plasma by testing vitals and plasma quality under a highly regulated process. Uses various
medical/lab equipment i.e.) thermometer, sphygmomanometer, scale, hematastat (blood
centrifuge), safepettes, capillary tubes and refractometers.
 Senior Sample Preparation Technician Duties: Prepares plasma collected from donors to be
shipped to the lab. Prepares samples for lab testing, ensures quality and efficiency.
 Works full-time to finance own college tuition as well as get lab experience in a pharmaceutical
setting to assist with future career aspirations.
