XI. GOOD PRACTICES/SUCCESS STORIES

I. Context / Overview
Beneficiaries requires to have their backyard gardening
for them to have their extra income and not just that also
to have vegetable in their daily meals and any veggies can
be planted in their garden. It can help their daily needs
for food proper nutrition, it can help not only addressing
the needs of the families for food but also in providing a
source of income and savings
II. Implementation
We implemented this few months before the Pantawid
Day last year 2017. Some beneficiaries took individually in
their backyard and some are groups as communal
gardening due to they had a bigger space lot to plant.

III. Results / Impacts

A few months back some of the beneficiaries harvested
their crops and it stated that it help them a lot not just for
their daily needs but as well as their finances. They sell
their crops at the market to gain profits.

IV. Lessons Learned / Implication for Replication

When a surprise visitors comes and surprisingly you don’t
have something to serve or money to buy to serve the
visitors it’s so shame but if they do they can get
something from their garden and to make it a simple
dishes and if it’s good for harvest time some can be sell
to the market and can be profitable.
