THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE OF THE DFI

We must bear in mind that logistics and international physical distribution are key in

foreign trade operations, it is also essential to achieve maximum efficiency and

effectiveness. There are 2 factors that determine the operation and those we must

analyze Time and Cost, the time factor should be considered as a determining

factor in the reduction of costs.

Another factor that influences is the increase in transport, since it affects operating

costs; a clear example of this disadvantage is the price of oil which is required of

diesel fuel, where most of the automobile depends on it.

On the other hand, the lack of investment in transport infrastructure negatively

affects. In this way it limits the supply chain of products globally, thus generating an

increase in the final process of each product. Clearly the international physical

distribution, this being the process of exporting products and services that aims to

reduce the risks and times, from the origin as a starting point, to the destination as

an end point. That is, any failure in one of the stages of a product can depend on

the distribution system that affects international trade. but there are also positive

aspects that benefit the companies, in addition to creating strategies to offset the

distances and carry out their activities as close as possible to the final market, we

see that the companies are modifying the packaging in such a way that they

occupy less space and weight generating a reduction in costs and transportation.

To conclude in the companies there are basic systems that facilitate their smooth

operation, one of them is the logistics system related to the flow of materials from

suppliers to end users and whose establishment requires an exhaustive analysis

and study to achieve that the company has a fully integrated logistics element.

This is why strategies and international physical distribution should be

characterized by creating the capacity in companies to generate support to

internationalize from their production or from their market, always remembering

that corporate success because it is no longer measured so easily at present in the

quantitative and quanlitative, being a factor of competitiveness to generate

profitability in import operations.
